Leftover Candy Canes
My mom calls the period between New Year's Day and Valentine's day the Trifecta for holidays. At one point we still have Christmas decor up and a few New Year's party supplies tossed in and we make that transition to Valentine's using as many of the red and pink elements we can. We hit the Dollar Tree and get a few extras. While there, we found they have candy canes on clearance (so 50% off $1.25!) and we snatched a couple boxes of the cute pink and red ones to make some hearts. You could use the ones you also have at home from Christmas. This is a pretty basic craft, but just a way to get more out of what you already have! Laid them out to make the heart shapes and grabbed the glue gun. I even used the broken ones and they worked great! Glued on a flat surface just on the back with a dab of glue to connect them. Once this was done, I let them cool and blamo, they were ready to display!
